Uldis Karlovs-Karlovskis
We in IT universities don’t get to learn about efficiency, leadership or human relationships. Instead, we must figure it out by ourselves. It becomes a life of trial-and-error, not everyone makes it out satisfied with their (or their team's) performance. Been there, done that… That’s why I became an IT coach from which I would have benefited those many years ago. It’s my calling to guide you through self-development to the better version of yourself as an IT professional and leader.

My experience

After 10 years of engineering, I’ve spent almost 10 years building my DevOps department at the tech giant Accenture. When my department reached the size of 150 engineers and tech leaders, I understood that I had stopped growing and started the IT coaching practice. During those 20 or so years, I’ve taken part in cloud migration projects, application containerisation, an architecture redesign to microservices and several DevOps transformations.

My education and certification

IT coaches differ from other coaches in their experience and knowledge, particularly in IT. Professional development coaches agree that the IT field is rather specific and in some cases, a deep understanding of the needs of an engineer is close to impossible.
I’ve helped around 35 engineers to become leaders. Some of them decided to focus more on people leadership, some on IT project management, and a few others on nurturing IT systems architectures. However, all of them successfully aligned their way of thinking according to the new responsibilities and came out happier than before.
Since I’ve spent quite some time on a stage, I’m capable of training engineers in public speaking. Whether you have an upcoming complicated work meeting, or you’ll need to present at a conference, with my help you’ll get it done with flying colours!
